Home Nature trail 1

Hello and welcome to Oak Tree School’s nature trail

Below are six clues that each lead to a specific plant, tree or shrub.  When you find the plant, you should be able to spot a QR code, if you look hard enough.

Scan the code and read facts about the plant. You are going to need a pen and paper to write down the name of the plant and one other feature of your choice.

Enjoy and have fun.

Clues

Clue one

This can be seen from the front courtyard and is over two metres tall. This is an evergreen.

Clue two

This is a wonderful herb to compliment lamb dishes! Head over to the Muga and see if you can find it.

Clue three

Around the back of the Muga is an evergreen shrub which has red tips, can you find it?

Clue four

This plant can grow very quickly depending on the species. Your view will be obscured by it if you were looking out of Porthleven window.

Clue five

Head up to Pendennis Castle and spot the trees, there are some big ones. One of them is at the end of the bridgeway!

Clue six

Your final plant can be found near the entrance to the lost gardens of Oak Tree. It is green and spindly and would be known as a shrub.
