- Can spread between 3 and 6 metres.
- This is an evergreen tree
- The oldest living Italian cypress is estimated to be 4000 years old.
Interesting fact: In Provence, France, cypresses were planted near farmhouses to indicate hospitality. Three trees meant a traveller was welcome to spend the night, whereas two meant only food and beverage was available. One tree would discourage anyone from stopping.
